"I warmly welcome you to the transformative process of therapy just as you are. I facilitate your growth and healing as your guide, witness, and companion.
I'll bring my non-judgmental curiosity, unconditional acceptance, and collaboration into our work. I'll also challenge you when appropriate. I identify as a highly sensitive person (HSP) of gifted intelligence, both of which support this process. My style is active, so I ask a lot of questions that help guide you toward your own discoveries.
My approach is mindfulness-based and grounded in somatic, psychodynamic, and transpersonal theories. We'll focus on the here & now, while gently cultivating a deeper relationship to your body and inner parts. I am certified in the Hakomi method of experiential psychotherapy and Janina Fisher's trauma treatment. My robust training in somatic modalities – Polyvagal theory, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Pat Ogden), Somatic Experiencing (Peter Levine), and the Adult Attachment Repair Model – integrate well with alternative frameworks including IFS parts work, Drama therapy, Gestalt, Systems theory, and AEDP (Diana Fosha), so I can tailor treatment to your individual needs."
Psychotherapy sessions are in-person at the Pacific Grove (Monterey area) office location when possible. Online telehealth appointments are also available.
I offer a highly personalized form of therapy — often called concierge therapy or boutique therapy — for those who want more depth, continuity, and care than high-volume therapy platforms can provide.
A wide variety of topics can be addressed with psychotherapy in individual work, couples work, or family therapy. Keep reading below for additional areas of expertise.
In addition to trauma and couples work, Olivia Stadler works with a broad range of presenting issues within in-person therapy and online therapy, including the following.
